In theory, 60 frames/second equals less than 17 milliseconds response latency. In practice, even the leading billion dollar franchises of today fail to deliver less than 80 milliseconds for button-to-screen delay. We are investiating methods to precisely and accurately measure loop latency for interactive simulations, and research methods for reponsiveness otimization. We are preparing an instrumentation SDK for game development as well as complete solutions including hardware options, and consulating services.
